Try adding this termcap entry to your termcap file (and check the TERM env variable value. If it is not linux - change the first line of entry accordingly): ---------------------- CUT HERE ------------------------------------------------ linux|A linux console:\\ :bs:am:xn:xv:pt:cd=\\E[J:ce=\\E[K:cl=\\E[H\\E[J:\\ :cs=%i\\E[%d;%dr:cm=%i\\E[%d;%dH:co#80:li#25:\\ :Hi=\\E=:Hf=\\E>:HI=^|:Po=\\E1:Pe=\\E2:\\ :bc=\\E[D:do=\\E[B:nd=\\E[C:sr=\\EM:up=\\E[A:so=\\E[7m:se=\\E[m:\\ :ku=\\E[A:kd=\\E[B:kr=\\E[C:kl=\\E[D:kh=\\E[Z~:us=\\E[4m:ue=\\E[0m:\\ :k0=\\E[[A:k9=\\E[21~:kA=\\E[23~:kB=\\E[24~:\\ :k1=\\E[[B:k2=\\E[[C:k3=\\E[[D:k4=\\E[[E:\\ :k5=\\E[17~:k6=\\E[18~:k7=\\E[19~:k8=\\E[20~:\\ :kf=\\E[6~:kg=\\E[5~:KU=\\EOM:\\ :Ki=\\EOr:KT=\\EOl:KY=\\EOS:KZ=\\EOq:\\ :Kd=\\EOm:\\ :sc=\\E7:rc=\\E8:\\ :gs=:ge=:gb=\\332\\300\\277\\331\\304\\263:\\ :ZG#0:\\ :ZA=\\E[0m\\E[%?%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;1;5%e%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;1;5%e%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t37;46;1%e%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t30;47%e%p1%{4}%<%p3%&%t37;40;1;5%e%p1%{3}%>%p3%&%t37;40;5%e%p1%{4}%<%t37;40;1%e37;40%;m: # :ZA=\\E[0m\\E[%?%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;1;5%e%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;5;1%e%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t37;46;1%e%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t30;47%e%p1%{4}%<%t37;40;1%e37;40%;m: #:ZA=\\E[0m\\E[ # NORMAL||BOLD+REVERSE+BLINK -> RED background + WHITE foregr + BLINK + INTENS #%?%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;1;5%e # DIM+REVERSE+BLINK -> RED background + WHITE foregr + BLINK # (now there is no difference between the two forms above) #%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{1}%=%&%t37;41;1;5%e # NORMAL||BOLD+REVERSE -> WHITE foregr + BLUE backgr + INTENS #%p1%{4}%<%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t37;46;1%e # DIM + REVERSE -> WHITE backgr + BLACK foregr #%p1%{3}%>%p2%{1}%=%&%p3%{0}%=%&%t30;47%e # NORMAL + BLINK -> WHITE foregr + BLACK background + INTENS + BLINK #%p1%{4}%<%p3%&%t37;40;1;5%e # DIM + BLINK -> GRAY foregr + BLACK background + BLINK #%p1%{3}%>%p3%&%t37;40;5%e # NORMAL -> WHITE foregr + BLACK background + INTENS #%p1%{4}%<%t37;40;1%e # DIM -> GRAY foregr + BLACK background #37;40%;m: # UNDERLINE NOT USED !!! #%?%p4%t4%e24%;m: # This one is TRUE color as described in I4GL reference # Change the ZA entry to this one value to get Full Color # :ZA=\\E[0m\\E[%?%p1%{0}%=%t;37;1%e%p1%{1}%=%t;33;1%e%p1%{2}%=%t;35;1%e%p1%{3}%=%t;31;1%e%p1%{4}%=%t;36%e%p1%{5}%=%t;32%e%p1%{6}%=%t;34%e%p1%{7}%=%t;30%;%?%p2%t;7%;%?%p3%t;5%;%?%p4%t;4%;m: ---------------------- CUT HERE ------------------------------------------------ Hope this helps, Octav On Fri, Sep 03, 1999 at 07:37:52PM +0800, Alvin Palacios wrote: > Dear Informixers, > > For testing purposes I've tried to port an Informix application from > HP-UX to Linux. Because, my X installation, that works Ok on AIX, does not respond to CTRL+C and other control keys? Thanks, Andrej Falout

Check the OOB handling in fglprofile. I had to rig it on Linux. Send me an email at the office if you need more help -- that's where I've got D4GL working on Linux (home PC is missing network card, as yet). -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
