I guess you must have missed that. To be fair, it wasn't really > heavily pushed.> Yeah. Be fair. Be honest and you'll get my point. ;-) > > What major customer win that was IDS centric was last announced?> > DB2?> > What is "major"?> Anything worthy of IBM spending the $$$ money to put out a one or more pager. > > And thats the point. Not IBM.> > No disrespect but the IIUG isn't IBM although you could argue that they > > are the most cost effective marketing arm IBM could buy. :-)> > Probably.> But that's the rub. IBM can't sell IDS. They don't know how and they rely on BPs/Channels to move the product. That leaves a lot of white space not covered or open to IDS.> > So where is IBM?> > Hiding and not visibly pushing IDS.> > Indeed. Perhaps they are shoemakers, sticking to their last and selling > big-ticket deals and ELAs to Fortune 100 companies and leaving others to > sweat the small stuff.> Oh please. Marketing folks don't get in to ELAs. S&D have deal makers for those and of course legal. (Yeah I've worked on a couple of ELAs and major deals ...) And to that point. What percentage of the aligned and integrated accounts have IDS? > > But hey! What do I know? My wife keeps spending me in to the poor house! Maybe that's why Stuart won't get hitched :-) > > C'mon people, grow a set and ask the tough questions!> > OK, why are you such a dickhead? :o)> Oh that's an easy one. I have little or no patience for a sales/marketing force that can't sell or market a product that is as well designed as IDS. I could easily take a crack at you, but anyone who wears only a trench coat and clown paint, well that's sad enough as it is. :-) Were I to even mention that restraining order that keeps you more than 200 feet from any school or playground ... well that would just be so wrong! :-) (You know I'm just pulling your leg!) -G _________________________________________________________________ When your life is on the go—take your life with you. http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/115298558/direct/01/
