BTRIEVE does not maintain a .DDF, you will need to use an outside program to generate the .DDF. There are many programs out there that will work. I don't know of a shareware program but here are some commercial programs that should work... A Tech Paper from BTRIEVE on the DDF and how to generate it http://www.btrieve.com/service/techpapr/ddf.htm A VBX program http://www.smithware.com/upgradeddfvbx.html A Program from IST - makers of OpenExchange DDF Builder http://clients.lwm.com/ist/ddfbuild.htm DDF Sniffer http://clients.lwm.com/ist/ddfsniff.htm Another program http://www.gps.com/product/dyncs/tsdk1.htm Adam.Rabinowitz@pixie.co.za (Adam Rabinowitz) wrote: >I am an xBase programmer, but I have a series of .DAT files to convert. >The system they belong to runs BTRIEVE v5.00.
