Hello everyone, We are planning to migrate within a same box from SSA disk to Fibre disks to get more disk space, plan is to move all the tables to Fibre disks during the downtime and at the end move the instance to Fibre. Want to know what are the possible options we have to move instance to Fibre and what is the best option we should go for with minimum down time, both SSA and Fibre will be known to the unix box at any given time. Platform : AIX 5.1, IDS 9.30 UC3. Thanks in advance, Sushil... _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. Sushil My initial thought would be to mirror ALL logical volumes onto the Fibre Disks using "crlvcopy", not forgetting the Filesystem(s) containing the informix directories. Can't think of any reason at the moment why downtime would be needed. Once the "crlvcopy" has completed use "rmlvcopy" to remove the copies on the SSA disks.
