Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

When I try to start the Dynamic-Server, setup with the following:
IDS 7.30.UC3
Linux SuSE 6.1-i386 (Kernel 2.2.9, libc6).
sqlhosts:
ifxdms onsoctcp lxsrv ids_tcp
/etc/services:
ids_tcp 1526/tcp
I get the following error-messages in the online-logfile:
listener-thread: err = -25580: oserr = 0: errstr = : System error occurred in
network function.
listener-thread: err = -25573: oserr = 11: errstr = : Network driver cannot
accept a connection on the port.
System error = 11.
(repeated every few seconds....)
dbaccess doesn't work (Message: Network down)
I tried different ports, but with no change in this behaviour.
-----
If I change the sqlhosts-file to access via shared-memory like:
ifxdms onipcshm lxsrv ifxdms
the server seems to run fine.
I also can connect local via E/SQL (9.16.UC3), that I use to access the
Database from our Intranet-Webserver (Apache+PHP3).
-----
Does anybody know something about network-problems
with IDS and Linux and if there is a workaround ?
I need to connect to the IDS over TCP/IP from other clients in the network.
I hope that somebody could help me.
Thanks in advance
