Re: Running IDS 10 32 bits on 64 bits

If you have the 32-bit runtime libraries that Informix 10.00 needs, then it should work. The difficulty will be determining what those libraries are, and getting old enough versions of them that they still work. At this stage, version 10.00 is a decade or so old. Linux has changed a fair bit in those 10 years. You may have problems simply because the host environment needed for IDS 10.00 is not reproducible. Of course, you should be upgrading to a more recent version of IDS -- 12.10 would be sensible; 11.70 not completely out of the question, but anything older (11.50 or 11.10) would not be a wise move. Note that you could upgrade to a 64-bit IDS working with the same data that the 32-bit IDS was using previously.
