Installing client SDK

A question about installation of Informix Client SDK: I downloaded Client SDK 2.02 from the Informix Website. It contains two files: the executable "installclientsdk" and a tar file. On running "installclientsdk", Informix goes through the various installation procedures without any hitch. The Informix Manual says that "installclientsdk" script installs all the Client SDK components except Informix-Object Interface for Java. Why then does this script produce another executable called "installesql" in $INFORMIXDIR? In other words, if "installclientsdk" has already installed "esql", why does it produce the script "installesql"? Should this second script now be run? I found that all my existing esql/C programs get compiled without my having used "installesql". Alanoly J. Andrews
