help! connection using datadirector for vb is too slow

Now, I am working at programming using datadirect for vb .My informix server is IIS 7.0. O.S is win95(chinese ver) compiler is vb5.0 (english ver) And I have informix CLI network driver. First I install the CLI ;second install the datadirector for vb .But when connect the database ,I can only find ODBC driver. So ,I have no choice.I use it . And the trouble came.When first connect with IIS,my demo programme stoped and wait for connecting to complete.This procedure last 30 second to 1 minite.And when reconnect after disconnect from the IIS ,the same thing also happened. I have worked for this problem for a week ,and can not solve it . I belive you can help me .Thanks.
