I'll buy the comment about "using a proper operating system". However, when I open a *.sql file with tools other than the Informix SQLEditor (like wordpad, MSSQL Query Tool, Platinum Desktop DBA, or Oracle Worksheet) the files are not reregistered to open automatically with these other tools.
