Is there a safe way to clean up the sqlexec zombie > processes? The only way is to kill the sqlexecd and restart it. This is safe as sqlexecd does not talk to the database at all. I forwarded a post yesterday with a new version of the nozombie fixup that someone posted to the idn.linux forum this week. Give it a try to prevent future zombies and report back on how it works. It reportedly works even on systems where Jonathan's version does not. It works by creating a new shared library with a replacement signal() function using sigaction() that can be dynamically linked into sqlexecd. Art S. Kagel
