Our experience was that the relay module (or delay module) created very significant overhead. We have 60+ users on an HPG40, running 9.04, 7.12 Online. With 4GL 4.11 in this configuration, performance was unexceptable. We changed to 4GL 6.01 and the box is near idle - we could easily double our user load. The conversions, both to 7.x Online and 6.x 4GL, were pretty straight forward.
