onprobe,patrol

If you were to compare onprobe/dbcockpit to some other tools (say patrol, megamon(?)) to monitor the database what would you say? If you were a manager of an exploding growth business, with incoming marts and oltp environments, would you want one uniform tool to monitor the thing, or would you want the dba's to flexibly choose ad-hoc their tools and let them go about their business? how about both? I'd like to hear comments , experiences, points of view,philosophical or whatever.
