4GL: Record wtihin a record input

Hello all, I have a record defined as below: g_record RECORD gv_1 CHAR(10), gv_2 CHAR(5), gv_3 CHAR(2), ga_array ARRAY[1000] OF RECORD gv_4 CHAR(20), gv_5 CHAR(15) END RECORD END RECORD I want to do an input statement like: INPUT g_record.gv_1 THRU g_record.ga_array FROM ..... I can't get this to work. The only input statement that will work is to list each variable (including the 1000 elements of the array) by itself.
