All, This is the response I got from Oracle/Peoplesoft concerning future support for Informix. The certification report for Informix 10 is not approved as Oracle/PeopleSoft are not certifying any new major releases of Informix, and you could use Informix 9.4 as displayed on Customer Connection. Please if you have any questions ,let me know or otherwise, I will go ahead and close the case. Everyone that is using Peoplesoft needs to put pressure on Oracle/Peoplesoft to continue to certify with Informix. Any help from IBM would be appreciated. FYI

Roy, Please escalate your case with Oracle. This is the same response we received. We escalated our case and they have agreed to persue certification for IDS 10 with Ptools 8.47. The iiug has setup a special email account, peoplesoft@iiug.org. I will use this account to send out the latest developments with certification requests. Stuart has also mentioned something in the SEC filings of Oracle about promises made that I will start to investigate. If I find something of interest I will let all know on my mailing list. Of course, I wonder how honest of a group that is.....Seems to me the SEC is now allowing unfair trade practices! As of yet, IBM is only providing a few murmurs. Trust me, they know about Oracle and the stance they have taken thus far. I am sending emails regularly to them. I belive the stance of IBM is to let us, the customers, do all the work and they hope to reap the rewards of our efforts. However, I don't know how seriously Oracle will take us if IBM does not atleast show a small interest. I wonder what stance Oracle is taking with the Peoplesoft/DB2 customers. I wonder how the DB2 side is getting treated. If IBM doesn't step up to the plate, DANILO, I wonder if DB2 will loose equally! I will add you to my list.
