Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hi,
I was looking at the Unix Config Parameter NBUF and BUFHWM (on NCR's
MP-RAS), Guess it's the same for all SVR4.
Which is the number of system buffer headers available for block I/O and
amount of memory for buffers respectively.
The unix manual also goes to say that frequently used blocks stay in memory.
Is there any form of linkage between BUFHWM and informix's BUFFERS.BUFFERS
forming a subset of BUFHWM or something like that....?
Please explain.
TIA
