Is there something special that has to be done with Dynamic-4gl to use the wordwrap feature when printing text fields in a report? "Text" data type printing in D4GL V3.0 : In the Report section, I have: PRINT COLUMN 10, the_text_field, WORDWRAP RIGHT MARGIN 50 Unfortunately, the text field prints in column 1 and does NOT wordwrap. Amd om D4G: V2.01, it won't print the text field at all, just blanks up to column 10, then nothing. (Prints as requested, in Classic 4GL)
Hey, won't anybody take a stab at this? Are we the only ones having this problem? First of all if you print to a file are the hard returns in the right place when you view it ? If not then I'd call support and ask their advice assuming you have RTM ). If they are in the right place then the problem lies with the printer. If its a laser printer its quite common for lines greater than the page width to be truncated. If this is the case then you have to set line wrap by sending an escape sequence to the printer , either through its menu or by sending a file of sequences before the print, then the print and finally sending a file of sequences to rest the printer to the original values. Get that ? : ) Hope this helps and be sure and let me know what happens.
