Performance monitor at Informix User Conference

Hello all. This is a brief note to invite all of you to come see me at the PLATINUM booth in the exhibit hall (booth 834) in San Jose next week. I will be showing an Informix OnLine performance monitor that I have been developing for the past several months. This product, DB-Vision for INFORMIX, is a version of our successful performance monitor for ORACLE and SYBASE. This is not merely a port, but a tool built specifically for Informix, including continuous monitoring of database performance, alarms, notification, and corrective actions. There are detailed statistics for sessions, locks, shared memory, chunks, dbspaces, tables, virtual processors, and overall server activity, to name a few. I encourage you to stop by and talk with me and give your feedback on this product -- this is a chance to see your input make it into the final production release, scheduled for the end of the year. Identify yourself as a participant of this mailing list and I'll make sure to divert a goody from the salespeople to you. If you are unable to attend the conference, I would still be interested in hearing from you. You may send e-mail to me at christie@platinum.com. Hope to see you there. ---------------------------------------------------------------- | Rick Christie | PLATINUM technology, inc. | | christie@platinum.com | 620 W.
