Need Help solving Error 242 problem on SE

I have been getting an error 242 in an Informix 4GL application running on SE on SCO Unix. I have already dropped and rebuilt the database but the error always seems to resurface on another table. Can someone tell me what caused this error and how I can resolve it? On the same system, I have also had problems writing to the log file. The only work around that seemed to work was to have the application not use transaction logging. The operating system and informix versions are as follows: SCO UNIX 3.2 INFORMIX SE 4.11 INFORMIX 4GL 4.11 Any assistance given will be greately appreciated. Paul Jones
