ISAM writes (sysptprof)
Posted in 2004
Someone told me long ago that the ISAM writes in sysmaster:sysptprof, are not record writes, therefor 5 isam writes will not be equal to 5 records inserted. But on all the testing I did so far, the relationship is 1 to 1. Every record I insert, gives me 1 ISAM write. I tried this on a small table with no indexes, and also on a large table (139 columns with 49 indexes), and still got the same results back. What am I missing here, or did things change in the meantime (in the newer versions) ?
