Problem with OLE DB provider

Hi Informix, I have a puzzling problem with a VB application using the Informix OLE DB provider. On my development machine with CSDK 2.81TC2, when the Informix server returns an error, the connection.Errors(0).Description property returns the error description just fine. On two machines where the application is deployed, this property is empty! The connection.Errors(0).NativeError property contains the error number, but the error text is lost. I need access to this text for a user defined error (error number -746). One of these machines runs XP SP1 with I-Connect 2.81TC1, the other runs W2K with I-Connect 2.81.TC3. Any ideas what could be the problem? Regards, Richard
