It is printable text. If your CONSTRUCT is: CONSTRUCT wh ON sometable.somecolumn FORM s_query.* and you type "A|B|C" because somcolumn is a CHAR(1) column, then the output string will probably be: (sometable.somecolumn='A' or sometable.somecolumn='B' or sometable.somecolumn='C') or sometable.somecolumn in ('A', 'B', 'C') give or takes some blanks and new lines.
