Hi Well i have few questions - - How to know that the db is ANSI compliant ? - How to create more than one detached indexes in non-ANSI database? I have IFX 7.13 UC1 version running on Sun version 2.6 with 4 gig and 128 MB RAM, some odd 100 users. The database is not a 7X24 neither it is populated 2% a lot every day. Database is 2 gig, hardly 50% is full in last 2 -3 years. We plan to upgrade to IFX higher version plus upgrade hardware also. Lot of querries are run on the database everydat. Can anybody suggest what kind of hardware we shall procure (Sun Sparc only) and which is a right version IFX we upgrade to. Should you need more information I'll be pleased to supply the same.(As I am new to IFX on-line db i may lack in providing necessary information). TIA Mukund

Informix 7.31.uc2. For 100 users I would look at Sun E450 server (2-4 CPUs), 256Mb-512Mb of RAM. Are the users running apps on the server as well are just PC based apps? >Should you need more information I'll be pleased to supply the same.(As I am >new to IFX on-line db i may lack in providing necessary information). >TIA > >Mukund -- David Williams
