Dear Mr. r17993@email.sps.mot.com, (What is you real name?) You can use the ontape utility with a Storage Management Server such as LEGATO, and any legato OEMs product such as Solstice Backup. In order to have ontape work with legato, you will need the "INFORMIX database ToolKit" , you can download a copy of this toolkit at http://www.legato.com . The storage management server will handle many sophisticated storage devices on the market today. PS: Don't be confuse about "informix database toolkit" and "Informix Database Suite Module", both from Legato, the last one is the interface for the onbar utility.
