Neil Truby relayed a PartnerWorld newsletter item about a 7 February 2006 webcast, Informix Acceleration for Business Partners, covering IDS V10 up-sell, cross-selling, loyalty sales plays and OEM terms. He thought it mainly targeted ISVs but welcomed the promotion. Replies only joked about the spelling 'newwsletter'.

10. Information Management: Webcast - Informix Acceleration for Business
Partners
Customers continue to demand solutions that optimise their information
technology investments by taking advantage of existing infrastructure and
in-house skills to boost productivity and reduce costs. During this Webcast
on 7 February, 2006, learn how to take advantage of the latest marketing and
sales offers, designed to help you to succeed in delivering critical
requirements to customers and drive additional revenue in 2006. This Webcast
covers:
Business value and up-sell opportunities with IBM Informix Dynamic Server
(IDS) V10.0
Key cross-selling opportunities within IBM Software Group
PartnerWorld Industry Networks marketing offer
New Informix loyalty sales plays
Informix OEM contract terms and conditions
The last point makes me think that this mainly aimed at ISVs. But
nonetheless it's welcome to see a bit of promotion of IDS to the business
partner community.

What is a "newwsletter"?

Bye now,
Obnoxio
"C'est pas parce qu'on n'a rien ' dire qu'il faut fermer sa gueule"
- Coluche
did i mention i like nulls? heck, i even go so far as to say that all
columns in a table except the primary key could/should be nullable. this
has certain advantages, for example, if you need to insert a child record
and you don't have a parent row for it, just do an insert into the parent
table with the primary key value (everything else null), and voila,
relational integrity is preserved. but this is, admittedly, a bit
controversial among modellers.
