Maybe not an indication of being "ahead of the field", but at > least, quite popular... > > Raymond Wan > My apologies for the language here - but that is one of the more asinine arguments I've heard for some time. More does not mean better. I would much rather work with a product which didn't NEED an extra bookshelf of manuals to help me figure out how to add 2 to 2. If you also consider that Informix has focused it's products on Unix and lately PC platforms vs every proprietary OS ever made as Oracle has done - then you might understand that they won't have as many different cases to document. As for traffic in newsgroups - the porn newsgroups have the reputation as the most active on the net - does this mean that they're 'better' than Oracle? Hmmm, have to try that on my manager - "Boss, I need the best product on the net - therefore I'm going to be downloading.....". cheers j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker - Hewlett Packard, DMD/IS Boise, Idaho, USA jparker@nexus.boi.hp.com <--- New address _____________________________________________________________________________ If anything can go wrong, fix it.
