HI,
I am using dbexport/dbimport to migrate db from IDS 9.4 to IDS10.
Two quesstions,
(1) Any tricks to improve the performacne?
(2) If dbimport exited by error( since I need manually modify some table
locations..), can we resume it from the exited point instead of losing a
couple hours?
Thanks,
Quman

The only way would be to either manually edit the schema file (<database>.sql)
and remove tables that have already completed loading or to create the tables
by just running the schema and then load the data using dbaccess's LOAD
command,
dbload, or the hploader.

Thanks, Art.
Since dbimport also does lot of other jobs: index, reference, view..., not
noly data loading, can I just remove the script(in database.sql file) before
Error Exited point, then restart dbimport?

Yes. The only thing to check for is whether dbimprt got around to recreating
the indexes on the tables it had already loaded and to clean out any partially
loaded table(s?) which you may want to reload.
