For a start, v6 is no longer supported. However, if you have some crash, informix tech support will still render help - but it is no longer cost effective to keep patching something which has already been fixed at v7. v6 was the first release of the multi-threaded engine - and hence quite buggy. most of the bugs you encounter would have been fixed in 7.23, the latest. plus some nice features - i think DR, PDQ etc. Keith Schofield (101566.3605@CompuServe.COM) wrote: : Thanks - that's put my mind at rest regarding this problem - are : there any specifics on v6 instability I can throw at my boss to : convince him of the need to upgrade to v7?
