Hi, Guys,
Build Version: 11.10.UC2
Build Number: N158
Build Host: vach
Build OS: AIX 5.3
Build Date: Thu Oct 25 22:56:40 CDT 2007
GLS Version: glslib-4.50.UC2
We repeatedly receive the following error msg in online log,
19:43:34 listener-thread: err = -27001: oserr = 0: errstr = : Read error
occurred during connection attempt.
19:43:54 listener-thread: err = -27001: oserr = 0: errstr = : Read error
occurred during connection attempt.
and onstat -g ntd shows many( 2451) sqlexec Calls were Rejected( see
below).
(1) Can we figure out which session's call was rejected?
(2) Add another listen port( server alias/listener thread) will address the
issue?( we think we have enough Poll threads already)
(3) Any suggestions/ideas are very welcome!!
Thanks a lot,
Frank

If the incoming connection request is being rejected by the listener thread there won't be a session id - the session does not exist yet. Unless you are getting hammered by incoming connection requests or your network is being overhwhelmed by other apps I doubt a second listener (DBSERVERALIAS) will be useful. I would consider opening a ticket with technical support and ask that they use the xtrace utiliy (internal tool) to uncover more evidence. In addition take a look at system logs to see if there is anything useful there. Mike
