Re: Informix 5 / Solaris 2.4

The reason for this error is the way you actually have the shared memory configured under the 2.4 kernel. Check the release notes that came on the Informix tape and they will have what the kernel share memory settings need to be set too. I just ran a benchmark on Sun hardware, Solaris 2.4 with Informix 5.03U??? in November and had no problems - in fact it beat Pyramid on a Nile running 6.0 - kind of weird huh???? If you have more questions on this, then I can obtain the shared memory stuff from our old tapes and pass them on - Informix Tech support also has them.
