IANAL, but concept is that it protects Informix from being misused. Imagine of Oracle wanted to run its own set of benchmarks against Informix. So they install Informix incorrectly, and run against it. They then publish their benchmarks. Yada Yada Yada.... You get the idea. The NDA-like language is not going to stop you from playing with it and say that you think the product sucks rotten eggs because you couldn't get it to do what you wanted.... Thats different. And it really isn't NDA at all.
