The problem is that there is no real client application for Informix on NT. For example, if you want to use dbaccess on a client to access a NT server database, you have to install the whole dynamic server on your client. This is bad especially if want to administer your databases from a client. The solution I found so far is to setup a telnet service. With telnet you can logon to your NT server and then work locally on it. You can use dbaccess, onmonitor and all the other tools. If you find a better solution please tell me !
