We've embellished this: a process (started by cron) polls DUMPDIR looking for af files. If one is found the on call person is automatically beeped, the shm file is removed and the af file is moved to an archive (so that beeping does not continue). The shm file is generally not used for analysis, and as they build up in DUMPDIR they prevent future af files from being written when the file system becomes full. It is important to preserve those af files if we gonna do something about these problems! -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum
