Well, it is, in a way. The answer to your second question is, "does the name of the function appear in the index of the 4GL manual?" If not, the function is not supported. Barring a documentation error of course ...:-\\ That is the case with this function. So even if you find out what it does, it isn't safe to use it. Why?
