(Unanimous chorus, I suspect! :) You need to move data into different DBSPACEs, logs into yet other DBPACES and take control of the disk layout. Try to ensure that each DBSPACE is on a separate physical disk. Try moving heavily hit tables into their own DBSPACEs. If you're on v7, try to set up TEMP DBSPACEs and investigate table fragmentation. So, apart from anything else, you should re-layout your disks under the LVM. Ouch. With my sincerest sympathy.
