I didn't work with Informix 4 SE (version 4 is too old). But the basic things is: 1. On the server side you have to run "sqlexecd" 2. On the client side you have to configure in Informix SetNet utility the connection to the server (of course you need Informix Connect on clients or ODBC drivers for Informix that can work without it).
