Re: Creating separate schema for indexes

Hi all, My expertise is limited to Informix 5.x versions. The dbimport/dbexport utilities do not preserve vital informations such as the dbspace in which the table is created and the extent sizes applicable to the tables. My way of solving this problems is to first create an empty database with proper schema, and then load the data using the 'dbload' utility. A several tables may be simultaneously loaded using the dbloads executed in the back ground. It may not be the ultimate way to solve this problem. But is just another way to resolve it! Thanx, Ravi.
