Unless your database was using a cooked partition, you cant. CPIO, used in conjunction with find, will only back up UNIX file systems. Now if you used dd on a raw partiton, you might be able to get some of it back, if not all of it. Chalk it up to a learning experience and stay away from the Mezcal. (Te'killya). -Mikey
