You can't allocate more then 4 GB of RAM to 32-bit Informix. Actually, if you are on 32-bit RedHat, the limit is even lower: 3GB. If you are running you 32-bit Informix under 64-bit Linux, you can allocate almost 4 GB to Informix -Alexey > -----Original Message----- > From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] > On Behalf Of lossanchez > Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 11:37 AM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: SHMBASE VALUE FOR > 4 GB - V10 > > Hi: > I need the value for SHMBASE for more than 4 Gb RAM with IDS V10 UC3 > I have Red Hat Enterprise Server 4.0 with 2.6 kernel > Only have 2.5 Gb assigned and with V 9.40 with RHAS 3.0 I have 4 Gb. > > Help me please?? > > _______________________________________________ > Informix-list mailing list > Informix-list@iiug.org > http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list
