LOADING ROW TYPES FROM DBACCESS and DATE FORMAT OUTPUTS!!!

I have 2 problems regarding Informix: 1) I'm currently using Informix with the Universal Data Option which provides and DBACCESS version 9.13.UC2. I have been trying to use the SQL Load instruction to load a row type into one of my tables which has a row type column. The syntax in the Informix manual specifies that to load a row type the Load From file must have the row type data specified as: | ( x | x ) | where x is a data value and | is the field delimiter and the perenthesis () are used to indicate the entry of a row type column. However, I have found that by using the above notation and haveing field delimiters seperating the columns of the row types the database server acutally thinks that I am trying to enter two values for two different columns despite the use of the perenthesis to indicate a row type data entry. 2) I would also like the ability to display date columns and datetime columns in various formats and also convert them to other types which include LVARCHAR,VARCHAR,CHAR and the formats for dates include haveing month names as well as numbers just like you can in ORACLE.
