Hello Art & all I guess you mention in one of your Informix VS Oracle argument that one can do dbspace prior point in time recovery in Informix. I am using 731.UC2 with Onbar with Legato on solaris 2.5.1. Unfortunately i did not find anything on this subject in Informix Manuals Docs. I will highly appreciate you if you can let me know that how Informix support this feature. Thanks Sanjeev K. Sagar __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I believe that you can only approximate this with ontape by restoring the
dbspace and only recovering logs to a certain point. So it is really log
granular restore not actual point-in-time like the OnBar cold restore can
be.

Hi Sanjeev, Informix does NOT support dbspace point-in-time recoveries (What if parent and children are in different dbspaces) - at least, to version 7.x. Warm restores brings the dbspace back to CURRENT. Point-in-time restores are available only for the entire instance. Rudy P.S. Hope things are going well with you.
