dbdiff2

(Rather than have everybody ask me what it is again) "dbdiff2 generates SQL to bring one version (-nd) of a database in line with another (-od)." I have just been through a round of correcting noted bugs and testing on my own account. Essentially the only current ones that I could re-create were: mishandling of intervals with a precision (e.g. DAY(3) TO DAY). when doing USER (-u) and not AUTH (-a) would crash. fold_and_push() may break a string between quotes. fold_and_push() always gives an extra blank line. SPL creation may drop core. I have no way to test triggers (older engine doncha know). I have corrected these problems or (in the case of fold_and_push) noted that it is a problem. If there are no further comments I am going to go ahead and put a fresh copy on the archives and call it 1.4. Thank you to all of the MANY testers. Thanks also to Kerry for the good work in handling SPLs and triggers. cheers j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker - Hewlett Packard, BSMC Boise, Idaho, USA jparker@hpbs3645.boi.hp.com _____________________________________________________________________________ "Character is what you are in the dark" - Emilio Lizardo _____________________________________________________________________________ Any opinions expressed herein are my own and not those of my employers. _____________________________________________________________________________
