connection not established on TCP

Informix 7.3
HP-ux 11.x
A query runs on Informix database and returns only one row. This data should be sent across to other server say (pegasus4) over network.
/etc/services entry :
# PeopleSoft
ps2_p 1601/tcp # PeopleSoft Prod Database
sqlhosts entry:
ps2_p_shm onipcshm psofpkg1 ps2_p
ps2_p_tcp onsoctcp psofpkg1 ps2_p
ps2_pi_tcp onsoctcp ps2pipkg 1800
ps2_i_tcp onsoctcp okinawa 1600
ps2_ai_tcp onsoctcp okinawa 1802
ps2_ds_tcp onsoctcp cyrius 1601
dwh_p_tcp onsoctcp panopkg1 1530
Could establish what query is running on the db server through onstat -g ses. How to establish that data is sent across to pegasus4 server. Appreciate any input. Stuck up for last 5 days and Informix database connectivity is suspected.
There are other unix boxes those connect to this server and runs few queries and working fine. Totally confused and feel stranded, please help

What toold is used to process this query? DB-Access, or something
else? If it is not DB-Access, what happens when you send the query
via DB-Access?

If you were getting no data, then I'd worry about your connectivity.
You are getting some data - so the question is how is it being
processed on the client side. What size is the row? Are any blob
types involved?
Which is the exact version - 7.30.UC1 and 7.31.UD8 are very different
versions of IDS (separated by something like 5 years development, all
else apart). What is the client-side code built on? CSDK 2.xx.Uyz?
