(I'm looking for > in-the-trenches-found-the-bugs-coded-the-work-arounds successes here, not > the latest releases per Informix Sales.) We have reasently installed OnLine ver. 7.12.UC1 and c4gl ver 6.03.UC1 on SCO 5. One very sever bug on 7.10.UC1 on SCO 3.2.4.2 is fixed. (If you define a cursor with no where clause and for update some columns, use a foreach loop to read the data and execute a prepared statement with update where current of cursorname, the engine will continue reading data beyond the last row of the table with devastating results (full system crash) when the update is executed. This is repeatable.) We do have some initial tuning problems, but haven't realy looked into that yet. (The engine slows down significantly after some activity against it.) It also looks like you need significantly more memory to run effecively than used to be the case on SCO 3.2.4.2 Other than that we don't know yet. We will however move a c4gl application with over 300.000 lines of code within a short wile. If you send me an email to remind me I will report the results back to you. > Ditto for Windows NT Server? Don't know anything about this yet. We will hopefully be able to start testing later this year.
