Re: alter a row type ?

Hi Currently, there is no support to alter a row type. A named row type, once created, is static. The only concept of "altering" a named row type is by subtyping (ie. using the "under" keyword to create a subtype), but even with subtyping, the fields of the supertype can not be "alter" by the subtype, it is inherited as is. Thanks. Davis W. I need to alter ( lengthen some fields in those tables ). How do I do this ? Do I somehow alter the row type and the other children tables will be altered automatically ? What about indexes that were created on those fields ? Thanks much.
