Dennis, I was also a victim of the same problem. We had the following config: HPUX 9.0, Online 5.00, ISQL 4.10 UD2 Your problem is in the version of ISQL. The 4.10 UD2 version still reads the local /etc/passwd file instead of the NIS one. We had to upgrade to 4.10 UE2 and everything worked fine. Have fun! Tracy W.
