More processors or more MHz?

I'm trying to price an HP9000 K-series for an Informix database, and I'm not sure how the tradeoffs work out. For example, would Informix be happier with a single 180MHz processor or a pair of 120MHz's? Are there issues about how the data is going to be used that would tip the balance one way or the other, and if so, what should I be looking at?
