Blades are installed wherever the informix engine is installed. But you will also need to install part of the web blade on the machine where the web server is. If you use CGI, then you need the webdriver, if you use NSAPI then you need the *.so. >>How will remote directories be referenced? (rsh, etc.) You install Connect and then the stuff from above on the web server machine and then you can access the DB from the web machine. Probably using tcpip. Tony
