VB and Informix OLWS

Hi all, I am using a VB 5.0 program and an Informix database OLWS 7.22 on NT (ODBC Intersolv 3.01), and I try to update a text column (LongVarChar) in a table. What is the best method to update this column ? (Using AppendChunk Method or Not) If I do not use the AppendChunk method, the program works, but sometimes, I received the error message "Out of memory". If I use the AppenChunk method, the code recordset.update does not update this field, but if I use recordset.update textfield textvalues, then it is OK. What is the best solution for my problem ?
