You can download U.S. Census Bureau TIGER data, translated into MS Access 95 tables, compliments of Sylvan Ascent, Inc., developers of the SylvanMaps/OCX' open-standard geographic mapping control. The data can be accessed from our web site at http://www.sylvanmaps.com/whatsnew.htm. The zipped data can be downloaded by county, ready to use in building a SylvanMaps/OCX GIS application. File names correspond to the state and county FIPS code. There's a set of zipped text files containing guides to state and county FIPS codes, and a text file with instructions for translating data tables from Access 95 to Access 2.0 or any other ODBC-compliant database format. SylvanMaps/OCX allows you to build GIS applications using MS Access, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, Powerbuilder and other containers. Map data can be translated from a variety of formats and stored in any ODBC-compatible database. The control is available in 16- and 32-bit versions. SylvanMaps/OCX' by Sylvan Ascent, Inc.
