IDS V11.50FC5: AUS error.
Posted in 2010
On IDS 11.50FC5 (HP-UX), the nightly Auto Update Statistics evaluation task failed at 01:00 with errors -242 (could not open informix.aus_work_info) and -154 (lock timeout), so aus_evaluator couldn't run; it happened only on the HDR primary. Art Kagel suggested rebuilding the sysadmin database (unload custom tasks, drop sysadmin, restart the instance, or follow IBM's manual rebuild steps). Davorin Kremenjas suggested editing $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sysadmin/sch_aus.sql to add the ONLINE keyword to CREATE/DROP INDEX statements and add SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT in aus_load_dbs_data, then recreating the routines. The poster said he would try it; no confirmation of success is recorded.

You need to rebuild the sysadmin database. Here are the instructions: First UNLOAD any site specific tasks that you may have created that you cannot otherwise recreate. Next connect to the server in the sysadmin database as 'informix' and drop sysadmin then restart the instance which should automatically rebuild it. If that doesn't work or if you can't bounce the instance for some reason then follow the steps at this link to rebuild it manually: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/blogs/idsteam/entry/rebuild_ sysadmin_database_manually_without?lang=en_us Art Art S. Hi, is the instance you're having issues with in HDR? Davorin
yes, in a HDR system..
only found them in the primary server, the secondary server none.
it only found in the HDR primary server. and there no error found in the IDS install. rebuild sysadmin may can repair this question, but don't know why it occur?
Hi, go to $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sysadmin, there's an SQL script called sch_aus.sql. Change all CREATE INDEX and DROP INDEX statements to include ONLINE as the last keyword and recreate the routines which have those statements. Also, in function "aus_load_dbs_data", SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT <something> and recreate it too. That should fix your problem. HTH Davorin
